Clean the herb well using a salad spinner. Remove the leaves from the thick stems. Use a mortar and pestle to grind the leaves and then add sea salt. It is approximately a 50/50 ratio.
Drying the salt slowly in a toaster oven works well to get the herb and salt to dry. It is also beneficial to break up the clumps of the herbed salt before storage using the mortar and pestle again.
