There are a number of gardens in the City of LaCrosse. Today we will feature the Kane Street Garden. They have been in operation for several years. It is a program of the Hunger Task Force. The goal is to introduce better nutrition to the LaCrosse community.

The Kane Street Community garden grows on average 30,000 pounds of organic produce every year.  Items grown at the garden are distributed for free on Harvest Days. Harvest Days are Mondays and Thursdays at 5:00 pm and Saturdays at 1:00 pm.  Volunteering is encouraged during open hours.
